Finally got my beaver & wolverine ruff on my huge down parka.
Want a fur ruff? Check out Boundary Fur Sewing, owned & operated by Amanda in Fairbanks. Without question, she makes the best fur ruffs and mittens around. They've been with Lonnie Dupre to the North Pole and 17,000 feet on Denali. A pair of her sheep-lined beaver mittens are set to go 1,000 miles on the Yukon Quest this year, what's considered 'the toughest race on earth' due to the extreme cold and nasty winter conditions.
Born in Eagle, Alaska, one of the coldest places in the state, she knows the cold and how to stay warm. She even started mushing dogs before her first day of school. Some of her furs come from the area around Eagle, acquired by local subsistence trappers. The wolverine used on my ruff is from Eagle Creek, across the Yukon River from Eagle, near the Canadian border.
That is one gorgeous wolverine ruff !
